Gary Zwain graduated from Rutgers University in 1975, magna cum laude. From 1978 – 1987, he worked as an associate and, later, as a partner in a small defense firm in New Orleans, which included Larry Duplass as one of the senior partners. In January 1987, Gary and Larry founded Duplass, Zwain, Bourgeois, Pfister, Weinstock & Bogart. Gary’s litigation experience spans a period of thirty-eight years and includes general casualty, automobile liability, martitime, construction defect litigation, toxic tort, mass tort, environmental law, oil and gas litigation, insurance coverage, extra contractual and bad faith litigation and class action/complex litigation. In 2017, Gary opted to end his participation in litigation and to service transactional clients and serve as a mediator of disputes. He is recognized as a Louisiana Mediator after meeting the requirements of Louisiana R.S.9:4101, et seq. Mr. Zwain is admitted to practice before the U.S District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana, the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
