Mr. Jenks was admitted to the Iowa Bar, 1972. Past experience in private practice of law and corporate counsel. Currently engaged as Director of Mediation Arbitration Professional Systems, Inc. in Metairie, Louisiana; Qualified as a mediator under the Louisiana Mediation Act. He has mediated over 3000 cases involving class actions, mass tort, bad faith, personal injury, wrongful death, construction, employment, multi-million dollar cases, commercial, product liability, medical malpractice, maritime, FELA and franchise law, including large complex multi-party disputes. He is an Adjunct Professor at Tulane University Law School for Negotiation Advocacy.
Mr. Jenks lectures extensively on ADR and negotiation and is currently an adjunct professor at Tulane Law School for ‘Negotiation and Mediation Advocacy. He is a member of the Adjunct Faculty of Tulane University Law School. He has produced and conducted basic and advanced mediator training for MAPS and in conjunction with the Louisiana State Bar Association. He has co-authored, produced and presented “7 Hot Tips” and “Negotiation for Success” CLE seminars and “Seeking Common Ground” Mediation Advocacy CLE seminars for many Law School and Bar CLE programs corporations, insurance companies and law firms. Trained as a mediator by the United States Arbitration & Mediation and the Center for Dispute Settlement (Washington, D.C.) and advanced training by the International Academy of Mediators and maps.
