Joe has practiced law in Louisiana for over 28 years. He has litigated, mediated and tried cases in state and federal courts throughout Louisiana, representing plaintiffs and defendants. Joe’s areas of practice include personal injury; construction defect; medical malpractice; property; business and contract disputes; insurance coverage; bad faith; municipal liability; civil rights; class action, mass torts & multi-district litigation; legal malpractice; premises liability; trucking and transportation; nursing home & assisted living; redhibition; and environmental & toxic torts.
His construction defect litigation experience includes representation of the general contractor, architect and subcontractors of various trades in numerous multi-party commercial and residential cases. His mass tort/class action experience includes consumer, product liability, and pharmaceutical, civil rights, and environmental/toxic tort litigation.
Joe serves as an Adjunct Professor at Tulane Law School, co-instructing Negotiation and Mediation Advocacy. Joe also serves as an instructor for the maps mediator training program. He also presents CE and CLE seminars to plaintiff counsel, defense counsel and claims professionals both locally and nationally. On August 1, 2019, Joe acquired an equity position in maps and functions as its managing director.
