Jay McCreary has spent the last 38 years as an experienced and successful trial attorney for both plaintiff and defense clients. His litigation experience is extensive in both the State and Federal court systems. He has been a Senior Trial Attorney for Hartford for 13 years and participated in over 400 cases. As a Mediator, he has successfully negotiated settlements in hundreds of personal injury, business contract, premises liability, products liability and governmental liability cases. Jay also has expertise in Transportation Law specializing in damaged cargo claims, Federal Transportation Law, Interstate commercial law, Logistics contract law, negotiating damaged cargo claims understanding the rights and obligations to the Shipper, the Cargo carrier, the freight broker, and 3PL companies. He has also sat as an Ad Hoc Judge in Slidell City Court and is licensed to practice before U.S. District courts in the EDLA, MDLA, SDMISS and U.S. Supreme Court. He is a Trial Attorney for the Fraternal Order of Police and an Assistant City Prosecutor in Slidell. He has been featured as a guest speaker in several continuing legal education programs (CLE) speaking primarily on Jury Trial Tactics, Negotiations, Professionalism, Trial preparation and Discovery.
