Joe Hassinger is the principal of maps Mediation & Arbitration. He joined the maps mediation and arbitration panels many years ago, and in 2019 acquired the firm from the founding members. Joe has mediated and arbitrated many hundreds of cases across a broad range of practice areas including personal injury, trucking, construction, insurance coverage, hurricane and storm claims, property, bad faith, UM/UIM, contract disputes, business disputes, business breakups, D&O liability, employment, civil rights and others.
Joe frequently presents lectures and training sessions to law firms and to local and national Bar and industry organizations on various topics including mediation, negotiation and leadership. He also serves as an instructor for the maps Basic and Advanced Training Programs, and as an adjunct professor for Negotiation and Mediation Advocacy at Tulane Law School. Before retiring from the practice of law in 2022, Joe devoted thirty years to trying and litigating cases in state and federal courts, representing both plaintiffs and defendants.
