Judge Hanemann served in the United States Army during Vietnam War, rising to the rank of captain. He returned to the private practice of law in 1967 and was a founding member of Henderson, Hanemann & Morris; his principal areas of practice were admiralty and products liability. Judge Hanemann has argued before all levels of state and federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court. He was appointed in 1999 and again in 2002 by the Louisiana Supreme Court as district judge pro tempore, Thirty-Second Judicial District Court. Judge Hanemann has been a member of maps mediator panel since 2000. He is a frequent lecturer at CLE seminars and listed in Best Lawyers in America. Judge Hanemann is available to mediate, arbitrate and umpire anywhere in the States of Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi.
