Judge Ramsey (Ret.) is a retired Judge of the Civil District Court for the Parish of Orleans. During her tenure on the bench, she served as Chief Judge. While on the bench Judge Ramsey adjudicated cases on the domestic/ family court and civil dockets. She presided over cases involving simple, as well as complex litigation, including class actions, toxic torts, contract disputes, expropriation of blighted properties and city tax and public bid laws. After serving on the bench, Judge Ramsey served as a member of the New Orleans City Council, where she was member/chair of the Transportation and Airport Committee, the Criminal Justice Committee, the Governmental Affairs Committee, the Economic Development Committee and the Public Works, Sanitation and Environment Committee.
